PAPER DOVE  
  Emotionally charged account of Child Soldiers in Peru  
     

Beautifully shot and emotionally charged account of a ten year old boy whose childhood is caught between political allegiance and personal freedom.

Set in the iced peaked Andean mountains of Peru Paper Dove is a deeply moving Humanistic film based on a true story.

Discovering that his father has been killed by the guerilla movement Shinning Path, Juan is kidnapped by the group and taken to their hideout where he is initiated into their ideology guerilla warfare.

After an encounter with the military, he is commanded to execute the captured enemy leader to prove his loyalty to the movement.

Managing to escape Juan goes back to his village, but now he is looked upon with mistrust as a Shinning Path member.

In a final clash between the Shinning Path and the military Juan is arrested and imprisoned where he remains for many years without judgment .
